One day Kenyan universities will treat all its students as their clients.

One day Kenyan universities will lead by example, the universities will not only teach their students to be good managers but the universities will practise good management.

One day Kenyan universities will not send faculty members to the media and conferences to lecture the nation on leadership and governance before the universities espouse those same principles.

One day Kenyan universities will appreciate that when a student register for evening class it is because she/he is busy during working hours, so the student should access all services during the time she/he is in school. The Library should be open in the evening, the supervisors should avail themselves in the evening that is why the student registered for evening classes.

One day Kenyan universities will master the art of communication. The universities will give all the required information and give it in time so that the students may know what is required of them in advance.

One day Kenyan universities will have well-developed websites which are also updated daily.

One day Kenyan universities will provide internet and computers to all its students all the time.

One day Kenyan universities’ registration process for the first year students will reflect the level of maturity that is expected from an institution of high learning.

One day Kenyan universities will have a fair balance between profits and quality education.

One day Kenyan universities will ensure that a course of two year takes exactly two years.

One day Kenyan universities will not open new campuses without well-equipped Libraries.

One day Kenyan universities will ensure that all their campuses have all the information that students need, so that the receptionists at the various campuses will not send the students to main campus for information.

One day Kenyan universities will fully decentralise all its operations, that every campus will be a one stop shop, universities will not only teach about technology but they will be pace setters in its use.

One day Kenyan universities will reign on their notorious lecturers to avail themselves for class in time, teach students within stipulated time and not rely on make-up classes.

One day Kenyan universities will have all its lecturers either in class or in their offices, so they have time for the students.

One day Kenyan universities will ensure that research supervisors are available all the time for student consultations.

One day Kenyan universities supervisors will not let students’ sub-standard work pass them only to be questioned by the defence panellists. The Supervisor should be held responsible for any mediocre thesis/research.

One day Kenyan universities will have one research guideline and communicate it effectively so that no student will learn of new research requirement while defending his thesis.

When that day comes Kenyan universities will be releasing people with values and people who are ready to demand and offer excellence at workplace, for now what we have at workplace are the carbon copies of the institutions where they schooled.

When that day comes in all universities, we will be on our way to greatness as a nation

When that day comes I will be in class for life.
